Location : Iligan City
How to get there: (by car - pick up)
Note : On this post I am indicating the road condition to guide travellers with cars on the accessibility of the falls.
There are actually two ways of going to Tinago Falls - the long-hard way and the long but easier way.
1st visit to Tinago Falls, December 29, 2011 - The long and hard way
via Agus Hydro Electric Plant
On our first visit we were just sightseeing on our way to Marawi City when we chanced upon this signage. We got interested by the signage so we decided to push through and go to Tinago falls even if we are not sure of where it would lead us. The road is relatively okay because we have to pass by the Agus Hydro electric plant in Datucalan. We just ask directions from the locals and all of them are very helpful. So we parked somewhere in the middle of a field of coconut trees. There were some children who served as our tour guide.
2nd visit : Tinago Falls, September 28, 2013 - the long but easier way
Via Linamon Lanao del Norte
This is the more accessible way. From Linamon town proper (if you're coming from Iligan) turn left and you will see a signage indicating the road to Tinago falls. You will travel for around 3km then you will see a signage indicating for you to turn left so turn left. You have to drive for another 1.5km to get to the entrance of the falls. The road is 99% cemented. The last time we visited the place was September 15, 2015.
3rd visit with my friends from Laguna, September 05, 2014
( 2 days before my 50th birthday which is September 07 )
4th visit: with my sister in a Sorority together with her office mates - September 15, 2015
