The 50th Waterfalls - PANGYAN FALLS

Location : Brgy. Don Mariano Marcos, Lupon, Compostela Valley
Date : September 26, 2015


          We reached Pangyan Falls via Nabunturan around 40 KM. The roads from Nabunturan to Pantukan are not cemented but paved, Banay banay and Lupon are newly cemented. Going out is via Mati around 20 KM of newly cemented road.

            From the highway to the parking area of the falls is around 500 meters. A hundred meters from the parking area is a small pool of hot spring water. Another 50 meters is the falls.

The 49th Waterfalls - CESAR FALLS

Location : Brgy. Mapawa, Maragusan, Compostela Valley
Date : September 26, 2015


            Maragusan can be reached via Nabunturan or New Bataan or Mati. Going there we took the Nabunturan route which is around 50KM the roads are partly cemented and partly rough to unpaved road.. Going out we exited Mati. The road to Mati around 55KM, also passes the towns of Pantukan, Banay Banay, and Lupon and are composed of unpaved and newly cemented roads.


            To reach Cezar falls from Maragusan travel for around 5 KM on the road going to Mati, upon reaching Brgy. Mapawa, ask for directions , better yet get a guide. The roads going to the jump off point of the falls are tricky. You will enter the complex and intricate world of banana plantation, We got lost several times. The jump off point is on the top portion of the mountenous part of the banana plantation, There is a house where you could ask for directions. From the house you will be directed to a grassy and muddy small trail which ends up in a river, go upwards to reach Cezar falls. Total trekking time 45 minute to one hour.



























The 48th Waterfalls - MARANGIG FALLS

Location : Brgy. New Albay, Maragusan, Compostela Valley

            Maragusan can be reached via Nabunturan or New Bataan or Mati. Going there we took the Nabunturan route which is around 50KM the roads are partly cemented and partly rough to unpaved road.. Going out we exited Mati. The road to Mati around 55KM, also passes the towns of Pantukan, Banay Banay, and Lupon and are composed of unpaved and newly cemented roads.


            To reach Marangig from Maragusan travel for around 10 KM on the road going to New Bataan, same route as Tagbibinta, then turn right, There's a signboard on the road. There is no entrance to the falls or parking space. Since it is the end of the road we parked in the area where the heavy equipments are making the U turns because the road is still under construction.You need to trekby the side of the creek and into the creek for around 20 minutes to reach the foot of the falls.
