The 40th Waterfalls - ASIK-ASIK FALLS

Location : Upper Dado, Alamada, South Cotabato
Date : July 19, 2015

The falls can be reached via Midsayap or via Wao – Banisilan route

The Midsayap Route – If youre coming from Davao, Gensan or Cotabato, Midsayap is your recommended starting point. From Midsayap proceed to Alamada, we opted to stay in an aircoditioned room in Alamada.  The road from Misayap to Alamada are all cemented. Starting from the crossing of Alaamda national road going to Upper Dado are rough roads but passable. Starting from Upper Dado to jump off point to Asik asik falls, the roads are rough , muddy and slippery, the good news is that the roads are under costruction, maybe in 2016 the road construction would have make it more passable. Motorbikes are okay.

The Wao - Baisilan Route. - If you're coming from Malaybalay/Valencia, Bukidnon  or Cagayan de Oro, this route is nearer, Note that when we passed the Alamada to Banisilan route the road  is not yet connected in Google maps. The  road is still undergoing clearing operations and under construction,  From Banisilan to Wao to Pangantucan to Valencia to Cagayan de oro are all cemented.

Note 1: if you really want to go there by car, i used a Nissan Bravado 2.7 , If yours is same or higher the better, If  I can do it then you can also. Take note also that when we went there, it is sunny no rain, think you may want to cosider that.

Note 2: Going to Asik asik is wild and rough but it's all worth it, even if you need to walk the stairs of more than a thousand steps. That's three times Tinago Falls stairs.
